About Sponsor
Here at Guided Care Services we match our certified sponsored residential care direct support providers with adults having a developmental disability. Residential Sponsors provide full-time, 24-hour, support for individuals 18 years and older with Developmental Disabilities and/or Dual diagnosis mental health. Our program director and Administrative personnel research and work closely with individuals and their families, Support Coordinators, and other service providers to find the perfect match between individual and one of our sponsored home providers. Once we discover the match, the process begins to move forward for the individual and the sponsor provider becoming a part of co-family lifestyle and environment. The agency will continue to be a part of the process, checking in on sponsors and individuals on a scheduled and unscheduled basis to make sure things are going smoothly. Our sponsor providers receive a stipend for their support services provided on a monthly basis.
Many individuals who have struggled in other settings move into GCS residential sponsored homes and begin to grow and succeed and establish stability. Overall our service settings are designed for long term support, stable environment, and community integration. A sponsored residential home allows up to 2 individuals to be placed with the same sponsor, but only if the personalities and interests of both individual and sponsor support staff are a good match.
